  • We are Permanently Closed

After serving Oak Harbor since 2006, I have closed my doors officially. I am still on Whidbey Island, but no longer offering photography services or learning classes on a regular basis. I am only offering Preschool Portraits for Ms. Ashley's Preschool in the spring.

Past clients may be able to purchase digital images from their past sessions if they are still available on my archive drives. Contact me for more info.

If you are a photographer inquiring about the possible purchase of my props and/or backdrops, many of my items are listed on Facebook Marketplace. Feel free to contact me for direct links or to inquire about anything you see in y portraits that you are interested in to see if they are available.

Thank you for trusting me with your family portraits since 2006. I loved working with you all.

    Renee

Party of Two – Birthday Session

These brothers share the month of April as their birthday month. Little “L” will be turning one and big brother “B” will be turning six soon. We decided to have cake available for both boys (because every one should have cake)! In the beginning, little “L” wasn’t quite feeling it. So we gave him a break and got some individuals of his big brother. Then we brought “L” back for a few of them together and then gave them both a little break. They did great.

“L” wasn’t too sure about the whole “cake” thing. His interest came and went. But even though he was back and forth, I was able to still capture some great moments. My favorite part was when he started moving closer to me. He just sat and gave me some of the most adorable smiles and smirks. See that last? Oh, he melted my heart. I wonder what he was thinking.

He’ll Be Here Soon – Pregnancy Session

This was my first pregnancy session for 2016. I was a little nervous. But this couple was so perfect and open with ideas and for suggestions from me. They are expecting their first child (a boy) next month. We brought out the gowns, the fan and had fun. They also brought in some extra little props to make the session even better.

I had a tough time choosing which images to use for this sneak peek. We had a variety of poses and I was full of “ooh’s” and “ah’s” while editing and looking over them to pick out my favorites. But as always, they are ALL always y favorites. So I chose these for now. (wink wink)

Where Should I Print My Digital Images?

I get asked quite often from clients who purchase digital images on where they should go to get their images printed. I know there are a lot of stores locally and online. But because printers vary, sometimes it’s tough to find one to match their print colors with how they are supposed to look. My professional print labs are calibrated with my computer. Because of this, when prints return from the lab, they look exactly how I intended them to look, they match my computer screen.

Because other printers and computers are calibrated differently, some can look more orange, green, blue, etc. I always suggest doing small test prints to compare. Choose one image and print that one (4×6 size) at several different places until you find one that looks right. This takes some time and patience. But not anymore…

One of my labs has recently created a program where I can upload my client’s image to their consumer lab called Mpix. Here’s some info about it and as you can see, their standards align with mine:

  • There are no minimum order amounts required
  • Professional quality – committed to using the finest supplies available to produce a finished product that will last for generations
  • Mpix believes a personal touch goes a long way. Every print, book and card is personally reviewed by a member of their team
  • Fast shipping – most orders ship out in just one business day!
  • Awesome customer service – send an email with any concerns and they will make it right!*
  • Create personalized Photo Products- Photo Prints, Photo Cards, Photo Books, Photo Gifts & more.

You will be able to order professional quality prints and other photo products . I have given away gift cards to this lab because I like it so much. And now, for those of you who order digital images or choose a digital session, there is no need to upload your images on your own. With all digital image orders, I will upload your images for you in a private gallery on Mpix’s website. So all you have to do is follow the link I provide to view them and save them to your Mpix account. You may then order prints along with many other amazing products that will be available for you!

No need to wait for your session to start using Mpix!

Sign up for Mpix today and start using them for all or your photo printing needs.  As mentioned before, when you do have your session with me and purchase digital images, I will upload them and send the link over to you where you can save them quickly to your account and start printing. New customers will get a coupon code to save 50% off their order. 🙂

If you have ordered digital files in the past, and would like me to upload your images to the site so you can order (no charge), please contact me via email or phone. Depending on when you purchased your files, I may still have them available.
