We’re Thinking of You

I was once an active duty military member myself. But today, I am military spouse. So, I understand long hours, long deployments, the heartache of saying goodbye, the strength needed to keep it all together – bills paid, trash taken out, grass cut and the kids comforted as they miss their father. And I also know the joy of meeting my husband when he returns.

A majority of my clients are military members or military spouses. We are apart of an amazing community that holds dear to our military members. I wanted to give something back since  I have been given so much as well.  So, I became a volunteer photographer for Operation: Love ReUnited (OpLove).

OpLove photographers offer, free of charge, to be there for our troops – for the tender moments as they are leaving on a deployment, a session with the military member’s family while they are gone, or the elation of their return. A small album (also free of charge) will be sent to the soldier, so they can have the keepsake with them while at their duty station. The Operation helps those long months go by a little faster. It’s designed to capture moments that you will long remember and always treasure. It’s art. It’s love. It’s all made possible by artists wanting to give something back to those who make the United States what it is, and ask for nothing in return – but for these men and women to come home.

I am one of two OpLove photographers on our island. For more information on my availability for these sessions, click HERE.

The children below are probably ones you will recognize. Their mother & I have become close friends as we’ve gotten to know each other through the last 2 years. We first met at her daughter’s 1st Birthday session. Since then, we’ve seen her & the rest of her family  3 other times. Unfortunately, little “L” was not really in the mood for the first 30 minutes, which was the first time since I’ve known her. It took a while to warm up. But when she did, she was as cute as can be. Her older brother “H” was so very patient and sweet with her. It ended up being a great session! I can’t wait to send their father his album. He is loved & missed so very much! Thank you so much for letting me serve you again! 🙂
