You read that right! She’s a college graduate from California. I bet you are thinking, “She came all the way to Washington to get her pictures done?” Well… YES! And no, she came to visit me as well.<\/p>\n

This beauty (known as “Peas”) is my niece. She is a smart, hard-working, motivated, very social & high-spirited woman! That’s right, she’s no longer a little girl! I am so proud of her for so many things. \u00a0She is so involved with every extra-curricular activity you could think of and has a job too! But out of all that she does and is involved with, everyone knows her for her softball!\u00a0She has been playing softball all her life! So, it was no surprise when she received a scholarship to UCSB for softball! (Click\u00a0HERE<\/a> to read an article about her at the UCSB Athletics site)<\/p>\n

“Peas” had many ideas for her portraits. Not only did we get some traditional images, but we incorporated softball and her devotion to the all the athletes of UCSB with tortillas! The students throw tortillas at the games! Crazy kids!<\/p>\n

I am so proud of her and thankful that she trusted me once again for her portraits! We had so much fun throwing tortillas, softballs and even included a few with her brother and her mom (my sister). But those will not be shown for now – will show those a little later. I love you and am so proud of how much you have done with your life! You have held your head up high in the hard times and lived to the fullest through the fun times! Can’t wait to see what you do in grad school and beyond. (For the WA readers, she’s applying to USC & UW -let’s pray she gets in to UW)<\/p>\n
