Being here in Oak Harbor, it&#8217;s a very familiar site to see moms and\/or dads leave on deployment. And it&#8217;s always tough around the holidays. Being a military wife myself, I know how hard it is to play both roles in the home, keep up with kids&#8217; homework, taking out the trash, paying all the bills and everything else in between and beyond. It&#8217;s a tough role, but one that I know I was born for and freely welcome when the time comes. It&#8217;s hard on all of us, but I am so grateful to these men and women who sacrifice their time with their families and guard their posts while we sleep soundly!
