She was a little shy at first. The last time I had seen her was about 6 months ago for a modeling session. She stuck to mom for a bit in the beginning. But as the chairs came out, she began to explore and play. When it was time for cake, mom let me know that she probably wouldn’t dig in. They had celebrated earlier in the month and she didn’t really like it. Honestly, this happens a lot. And it’s usually me giving the “they-might-not-be-into-it” disclaimer when preparing for the cake portion of the session. So, I made sure to hit my goal of at least 5 of her with the cake. Well, to mom’s surprise, she LOVED that cake! She started picking at it bit by bit and then she went in without hands. It was perfect, it was timeless and it was all her! And my favorite part was seeing the joy on mom’s face as she watched her baby girl smile and giggle with cake and frosting all over her face.<\/p>\n
