Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

“The Artist” page on my main site gives you the ability to get to know me better before you walk into my door. And within that page, you learn of my eldest son, Christopher. He was stillborn on Oct. 19, ‘99. Our loss was devastating but also a life-changing event for my husband & I, as individuals and as a couple.

Since starting my business is 2006, I have learned of an amazing foundation called “Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.” It is specifically a network of volunteer photographers serving families with a sensitive, yet cherishing infant remembrance session. You can learn more about this foundation here.

I immediately wanted to join when I first heard of this but had to wait. My family was not ready- I was not ready. But now, as we are coming to our 9th year without our son, I feel it is time to stop holding back, and time to give back.

As of October 2008, in memory of our son, I am a volunteer photographer of Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. I know these sessions will be difficult – I will probably share in the grieving. But as a mother who has been through this, I know there is hope and I want to share that also.

Special thanks to my family, in which we know these sessions will be held dear to our hearts. We truly believe this is more than a service, it’s a ministry.
