Mini Session at Sunset – Pregnancy Session

A few days a go I went out to this beach and practiced because I knew I had a little mini pregnancy session coming up. We had the session on Thursday night and boy, I’m a little rusty. But we did get some good ones for the short time we were at the beach.

I’ve known Molly for about 16 years. I watched her grow up, get married and now she is due any day with her second little guy. I asked her a few months ago if I could borrow her as a model for a maternity gown I had never used. She said yes and I was so happy to get in some practice and provide her with some memories.

Like I said, I am a little rusty. (But I definitely needed the break I am on) I did notice I forgot some things to bring. Like my tried and true bribery materials for her little one and my handy-dandy noise buddies. I also got a little nervous with how quickly the sun was setting and wasn’t shifting settings quite as well as normal. Needless to say I will be getting out and getting more practice in. If she doesn’t have that baby today and she’s up for it, I might just ask her to meet me there again for a few more shots. 😉

Thanks again Molly (and Keagan & Jan)!

Fabulous Deal #4 Is Here – House Signs

Here’s the fourth fabulous deal from Fabness! The second and third deals are also still valid. So you still time to enjoy those as well. Now they just added a cherry on top of our treat!

Now I will be honest, I was not exactly sure what a “house sign” was. I had to go check them out for myself. My house sign is fading and looking kind of drab. Now I have to decide between steel pattern or weathered paint effects for my new house sign. This is not an easy choice. Hopefully my husband will chime in on what he likes.

FOURTH FABULOUS DEAL!

** VALID JULY 27 – August 11 **

House Signs for $19.00

Guard Frog

The first time we saw this little guy was a few days ago. He was sitting right on top of our doorbell button. Yep, that tiny little guy was no bigger than my thumbnail. My son asked, “What’s that?” as we walked up to our door. I answered, “A frog” and he jumped back. I assured him that there was no need to be scared of him. We did not touch him or anything like that. The kids took turns looking, I snapped a quick picture with my cell phone and left him alone.

He was sitting right on top of the doorbell ringer the first time we saw him.

The next day we figured he was gone but then noticed that he was sitting on one of the flower pots on the porch. Again, I took a quick picture with my cell phone and left him alone again. I knew he would leave soon so having these quick pictures was so my kids could have something to look at again as well as show their dad.

The second time we saw him he was just relaxing on the edge of a pot.

He then disappeared for a day and we then thought he was gone for good. Well, good thing we took, some pictures. I watered my plants and we went on with our day. This morning we heard the FedEx guy drop off a box. I opened up the door and saw our little friend sitting there on a leaf looking out towards the street. I immediately said, “Guard Frog”. The way he was sitting he just looked like he was keeping a look out. You know, just keeping his eyes on the street, looking for anything suspicious. Or maybe he was scoping the place out for food.

I decided to get my camera out and take a few pictures of him. Something I could print out for my kids. They have small 4×6 albums for their memories. I figured my daughter would like these for her album, so I took a few. Different angles and a few as close as I could get without scaring him.

Anyone else have little frogs in their yards?

Fabulous Deal #3 is Here – Another Canvas Deal!

Here’s the third fabulous deal from Fabness! Of course, the first deal is still valid until the 21st. The second deal is also still valid until the 28th. So you still time days to enjoy those still. Now they just added some sprinkles to our treat! I love canvases. If you have been to my house, you have seen them. I always say the smallest print for a canvas should be a 16×20. Visitors can see it from a distance without having to get close to see who is in it. If you are starting out with canvas prints, 16×20 is a great size to start off with!
