We are Closed

Renee Giugliano Photography, Oak Harbor, WA Photographer specializing in Pregnancy, Newborn & Children
As of today, April 1, 2015, Renee Giugliano Photography is closed. Not for forever, but just for a while as our family goes through some changes. Just need to take a break to focus and refresh.

I may be offering my Fresh Focus (Parent Workshop) class in May or June if there is enough interest and if I have time. What is Fresh Focus? It’s a workshop that teaches parents more about their camera (settings and how/when to use them) and also gives tips & tricks for taking great everyday pictures of their families. If you would like more information, click HERE for more information.

The Portrait Coterie program will still be available for small handmade boutiques, etc.  Only a limited amount of boutiques/stores will be accepted. Click HERE for more information about Portrait Coterie.

I will be posting updates here on the blog, both personal and professional. I need to get back in to the MWAC (mom with a camera) role for a bit. You’ll see the “My

memories, my moments.” watermark on them. Just sharing what I am up to and family adventures. I will also post any updated news on my reopening date. Because remember, I am NOT closing permanently, just taking a break for a bit. We’re not moving, so you will see me around.

I will be doing a few sessions here and there but I will only be posting about availability when it comes to model sessions. The non-model sessions will be personal projects or for further learning for myself. If I do notice that I have extra time in which I can take in a session, I will let you all know.

During this time, I will also be looking around for a small space to move in to. Most likely, The Curly Girly Boutique & I will be charing the space. If you see something available, please let me know. We prefer to stay within Oak Harbor.

Again, all session availability will be posted through my newsletter, click HERE to subscribe.

I am currently still working on proofs and orders from recent sessions. All other sessions are archived for up to two years so if you need additional prints from your session, please contact me. There will be an extension fee or archive retrieval fee depending on when your session had taken place.

I’m so sorry that I can not be of service to you at this time. It was hard for me to do this. I literally cried after my last session and stalled myself from cleaning up by just sitting on the floor and thinking about how much I love this job. I love the families I meet, the babies I get to cuddle with and the kids I get to be silly with. That’s why I am NOT quitting, just taking a break. I’ll be back, just not exactly sure when at this time. But I will be back. 🙂

Cutest Lil’ Buddies – Mini Session

Are these little guys just adorable? The last time I saw the older one was for his 1st birthday session. He has grown so much and now he is a big brother! You can tell he loves his little brother so much and can’t wait until he is older so they can play together. Or if they are like my boys, they will get in trouble together.

Being only three months old, I expected baby D not to last too long. At this age, poses are limited and he didn’t quite have the strength yet to keep his little head while on his tummy. So we did a few, then gave him a break to relax and refresh. While he was on his break, big brother W showed off his sweet personality and hammed it up for me! Then we went back to little D for a few more and then we were all done. They did awesome! So awesome that I had a hard time filtering through the images. But I did it and I think mom & dad are going to love them as much as I do. (Fingers crossed)

I’m Where I Belong

Renee Giugliano Photography, Oak Harbor, WA Photographer specializing in Pregnancy, Newborn & Children
As most of you know, I’m taking a much needed break. A break that was planned 2 years ago. A plan that was prayed about, talked about and thoroughly thought about before setting it in stone. It was decided way before any of this essential oil stuff came into my life. Within the first few months of things beginning to set into place for taking my photo break, that’s when these oils came into my life. I had NO intention of doing this as a business. I did direct sales years prior and didn’t want anything to do with parties and hostesses and inventory….

But THIS was different. This was the Lemon Droppers and they fit me to a T. There were no parties, no hostesses, no pressure to buy, sell or anything else like that. Kind of how I run my photography business. I like options, I don’t like pressure. I like choices and the ability to pick & choose what I want. The Lemon Droppers work the same way.

I had no idea what the Lemon Dropper business plan really was when I signed up as a Young Living member. I didn’t really care. I just wanted to help my family so I didn’t have any need of teams, dreams and all that. But I am SO GLAD that I happened to sign up under a Lemon Dropper. Because this team is perfect for me. This business slipped right in and filled the gap that my photo biz was leaving. Because I planned the break two years ago, I also began to slowly cut down my sessions which brought in less money. This crazy oil business helped fill in the gap. Not the whole gap, but it helped.

This morning I had my last photo session. Again, I am NOT quitting, just taking a break. But I will admit that I cried a little as I cleaned up (it was a first birthday with a cake smash). It was literally hard for me to turn off the lights. I sat there for a moment staring at smeared cake. I even took a picture with my phone and posted it on Instagram (seen on the right). I love what I do and it’s hard to come to know that I have nothing on my schedule next month or the next month or the next. No little babies, no glowing mommies-to-be and no silly toddlers, rebellious siblings and so on.

In the midst of all this.. there is this Lemon Dropper Birthday thing going on. What is it? Well our team, The Lemon Droppers are two years old today. For me this is perfect timing. I cleaned up and put things away, came to the computer and checked my email. What do I see? Lindsay (our head Dropper) posted something. So before I even read the email I just click on the link and go to our team group. It’s an inspiring post with an attached video. I watch the video and now I am even more emotional. Ugh… more tears. But I know this was the right decision, this video confirms it. I get to spend more time with my family, helping them. I get to spend more time with all of you: friends, family, team mates, fellow members and more! I get to help you too!

I do have photo proofs to work on, orders to fulfill, kids homework to help with, house projects, dinners and all that to do. But I am excited to be able to learn more and share more. To be here, in this moment.  I am where I belong.

So… now that I got that off my chest, here’s the video that our leaders made. Side note: There are men Lemon Droppers too… not just us ladies. 😉

He Just Couldn’t Wait Any Longer – Pregnancy & Newborn Session

This little guy made his debut a week earlier than expected. He just couldn’t wait to meet his family. My already getting a little behind on proofs along with his early arrival threw me off a little and so I am posting a sneak peek of both the pregnancy & newborn session. Two is better than one, right? Or you can call it and before and after. 🙂

Both boys got a little camera shy. We were only able to capture of images of big brother at the pregnancy session. With a little bit of bribery I was able to get a few good images of him with his new brother during the newborn session. And the newest arrival had a hard time getting comfy. It was short, but very sweet.
